I was having same issue where my wifi was showing connected but no internet access. Go to device mamager --> Network Adapters. there will be wireless adapater --> go to its advanced properties -->
Since unpacking, I have been unable to connect to the internet, either by wifi or ethernet, while other computers were connected at the same time. I ran all the diagnostics on the HP machine and it suggested deleting the 3 network drivers and restarting the machine.
